Julia
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #154727
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I earned my B.A. in Psychological Science from University of California, Irvine (UCI) and later completed my M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy at University of Southern California (USC). My clinical training emphasized self-reflection and cultural sensitivity through a social justice lens. These foundations continue to inform and shape my work today, as I approach therapy with cultural humility and an awareness of how identity, family systems, and societal pressures influence our inner world.
I have extensive experience working with adults and adolescents from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. I support clients navigating mood disorders, trauma, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. My clinical approach integrates psychodynamic, person-centered, and behavioral interventions, allowing me to meet clients where they are while tailoring care to their unique needs.
My clients often describe me as supportive, adaptable, and deeply attuned to the moment. They share that I am someone who can shift with what the moment calls for. At times I bring warmth, humor, and encouragement; at others, a calm and focused presence for deeper conversations. Clients often say they feel truly listened to, appreciate the timing of my feedback, and experience our work as both comforting and therapeutic.

ABOUT ME •
Individual
Therapy
I help clients navigate whatever they are going through with curiosity, compassion, and collaboration. My therapeutic approach is integrative and relational. Drawing from psychodynamic principles and evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Together we work to understand the deeper roots of your experiences while building practical skills for real-life change.
Couples
Therapy
I help couples build self-awareness around their attachment patterns so we can identify and break cycles that negatively impact the relationship. In our work together, I slow interactions down, help couples recognize patterns in real time, and ensure each partner feels heard, understood, and supported. Together we will build tools and skills that support healthier communication, stronger emotional bonds, and more satisfying relationships.
